Did you know you can still get “Penny Chips” at Mrs. Fishers?

Did you know that Mrs. Fisher's has only had four previous owners?
An important part of the Mrs. Fisher's history is that the business has always been passed on to an employee with many years of experience. In our 86 years there have been only four previous owners. The company has only moved locations two times as well, from 6th St. and 5th Ave. to the corner of Fulton Ave. and Grant St. in the 1960’s and then into our current address in 1978!
Did you know we unload 50,000 lbs of potatoes in a week?
While many parts of the operation have been automated, we now have a SpudNik machine to unload the 50,000 pounds of potatoes we receive weekly, and we don’t have to peel them by hand, thank goodness, the care and quality has remained unchanged. 50,000 pounds of potatoes a week equates to 2.6 million pounds per year!
Did you know Mrs. Fisher's Chips sells a dry french onion dip mix?
French onion dip is the perfect complement for potato chips – so what better than trying our French onion seasoning to go with your Mrs. Fisher’s chips? And you can buy it right here on our website or in store! Simply mix one tablespoon of our seasoning with 16 ounces of sour cream.
Did you know that you can also use our French onion seasoning to style potato chips at home by sprinkling the seasoning over some Mrs. Fisher’s chips and placing them in the oven around 300 degrees for approximately 10 minutes?
You can also use our French onion seasoning over Roasted potatoes! Simply dice 3 large potatoes into roughly half-inch cubes then mix well with 3 tablespoons of oil and 3 tablespoons of French onion seasoning in a bowl. Spread well coated potatoes onto a cooking sheet and cook at 350 degrees for approximately half an hour or until golden.
Don't forget the fried chicken! For roughly 4 or 5 drumsticks you’ll need to mix 1 cup of unseasoned bread crumbs, 1 cup of Panko bread crumbs, 1 tsp. of pepper, 2 tsp. of garlic powder, and a ¼ cup of our French onion seasoning thoroughly in a large bowl. Dunk the drumsticks into a bowl of buttermilk, roll them into the breading mix, and fry at 350 degrees for approximately 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

Did you know that you can freeze Mrs. Fisher's potato chips right in the bag?
That's right! You can freeze our chips right in their bags to keep them fresher, longer. This means you never have to worry about buying in bulk and finishing them all, you can just put a few bags into your freezer and take them out a few hours before you're ready to serve (or you could eat them cold if you like)!
